	Owners Lee and Kim Wright started New Blooms in 2001 "as a hobby." Neither had a background in horticulture nor running a business. However, Lee's acquired skills as a novice carpenter, electrician, plumber and otherwise handyman encouraged him to build a 24' x 48' greenhouse in 2000 (for Kim's hobby) and it blossomed so much that he and loving family and friends built the 60' x 120' gutter connect greenhouses that now serves as the retail and growing area for New Blooms Greenhouse. Lee retired from his "day" job as computer operations manager to focus on New Blooms full-time. Kim has always had a passion for gardening and the first greenhouse that Lee built was to satisfy her need to play with plants. Little did she envision that the business would blossom as much as it did. Being a secretary at AMP for 21 years did not quite prepare her for running a business, but each day is a new learning experience.

	The staff at New Blooms is a great mix of long-time Duncannon residents and family members who love living and working in their community and we are happy to have them all.
